Michael Lockwood

Michael John Lockwood (* 1943 or 1944; † June 24, 2018 ) was a PhD British philosopher ( MA , DPhil ).

Live and act

Lockwood studied philosophy and psychology at Exeter College , Oxford . His doctoral supervisor was Alfred Jules Ayer at Oxford . Lockwood was then assistant professor of philosophy at New York University for five years and then worked as a systems analyst on various stock exchanges , initially on the New York Stock Exchange and other stock exchanges in the USA.

Lockwood was Emeritus Fellow of Green Templeton College (formerly Green College), Oxford, where he taught philosophy for years. [2] His publications include work articles on topics of philosophical logic, medical ethics, animal law, and philosophy of science.

He died at the age of 74 of complications from Alzheimer's disease .
