Michael Moering

Michael Möring (born October 11, 1677 in Hildburghausen , † 1751 probably in Coburg ) was a German cantor.

Life

Möring first attended the city school, from 1695 to the Casimirianum Coburg . In 1699 he studied theology at the University of Jena . After his return he became bassist in the court orchestra in 1704 and from 1710 also a page informant. In 1712 he received the vocation to the parish of Seidingstadt . But the music was more to him, why he moved to the cantor in Hildburghausen in 1713. On June 16, 1720, he passed the rehearsal for the cantor's office in Coburg and was appointed to this office the following day.
