Michael Nachreiner

Michael Nachreiner (born August 16, 1974 in Heilbronn ) is a former German basketball player . The 2.11 meter tall indoor player played in the basketball Bundesliga for Ludwigsburg, Gießen and Lich and was a U22 national player. He also played in the European Cup with Ludwigsburg and Giessen.

career

Nachreiner played basketball as a youth in his hometown of Heilbronn, before he moved to the youth division of the BG Ludwigsburg and then from 1993 to 1995 belonged to the club's men's team in the basketball Bundesliga . After stints at the second division clubs Karlsruhe and Heidelberg, he moved to the United States, where he studied history and mathematics at the University of Denver from 1997 to 1999 and was a member of the college's basketball team.

As a result of his return to Germany, Nachreiner reinforced TV 1860 Lich in the Bundesliga in the 1999/2000 season , for the 2000/01 season he switched to Avitos Gießen and in February 2001 back to Lich. In the 2001/02 season Nachreiner played for SSV Ulm in the second division, from 2002 to 2004 again for TV Lich.

Nachreiner, who had already studied business mathematics in Karlsruhe before studying at the University of Denver, also has a degree in history and political science, which he obtained from the Justus Liebig University in Giessen . From 2006 he completed a traineeship at Heilbronner Voice and then worked as a sports editor. He remained connected to basketball as a coach.
