Michael Pinske

Michael Pinske (born August 22, 1985 in Berlin ) is a German judoka ( 1st Dan ).

Michael Pinske studied geoinformatics at the Technical University of Berlin . His mother was the three-time Olympic champion Andrea Pollack . Pinske has been practicing judo since 1994 and is a member of SC Berlin . He was first trained by Heike Möller, then by Jochen Bech and Detlef Ultsch .

In 2001 he won the title at the German and the international German U17 championships. In 2002 he became German runner-up in the age group under 20 and also took part in the world championships in this age group. In 2003 and 2004 he won the title in the class, and in 2004 the title of international German U20 champion. In 2005 he finished fifth at the European Championships in Rotterdam and was U23 Vice European Champion. Two years later he was again fifth at the European Championships in Belgrade and took part in the World Championships in Rio de Janeiro . Pinske has been nominated by the German Olympic Sports Confederation in the class up to 90 kg for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , but lost his first fight and was eliminated. At the European Championships in 2009 , he finished fifth.
