GDR doping

In the course of the GDR doping process and the related research and archival processing of the practices of GDR doctors and sports officials , among other things, doping plan specifications were found by Andrea Pollack, which explains her extremely muscular physique at the time. She was also tested positive in an internal doping control at the end of October 1977. After the fall of the Berlin Wall she admitted that her performance was enhanced with performance-enhancing substances such as steroids . She testified as a witness in the first major doping trial before the Berlin Regional Court against sports medicine specialist Bernd Pansold and five other accused.
