Ada Kok
Aagje "Ada" Kok (born June 6, 1947 in Amsterdam ) is a former Dutch swimmer .
The start of her international career was winning the European title over 100 m butterfly at the 1962 European Championships in Leipzig . She also won the title with the Dutch 4 × 100 m freestyle relay . At the time she was just 15 years old. At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964 , she was able to win the silver medal on these routes. At the European Championships in Utrecht in 1966 , she was again able to win the title over 100 m butterfly and with the relay. The highlight of her career was the Olympic victory in the 200 m butterfly, when she narrowly defeated the GDR swimmer Helga Lindner at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City . This made her the first Olympic champion on this route.
In 1976 she was inducted into the international swimming pool 's hall of fame .
