Jutta Langenau
Jutta Langenau , b. Großmann (born October 10, 1933 in Erfurt ; † July 9, 1982 there ) was a German swimming athlete .
Life and sporting development
The athlete trained at SV Empor Erfurt, among other things, in the 50-meter pool of the Nordbad Erfurt . In 1954 she became European champion over 100 m butterfly in Turin in a world record time of 1: 16.6 minutes and thus won the first European championship title for the GDR . In addition, between 1949 and 1959 she was champion of the East Zone and GDR 14 times and set 43 national records.
From 1956 to 1978 she worked as a trainer at the children's and youth sports school in Erfurt and after the birth of her third child as a sports teacher at a general polytechnic high school in Erfurt.
From 1954 to 1958 she represented the FDJ in the People's Chamber of the GDR
