Mette Jacobsen
Mette Jacobsen (born March 24, 1973 in Nakskov ) is a former swimmer from Denmark .
She took part in five Olympic Games for her country, but could not win a medal there. At the European Swimming Championships, however, she was able to celebrate successes. In 1995 she became European champion over 100 m butterfly and 100 m back. In 1991 and 1999 she was European champion over 200 m butterfly and in 1991 European champion over 200 freestyle.
In 1991 and 1995 she was voted Denmark's Sportswoman of the Year .
