Michael Pohl (economist)

Michael Pohl is a Swiss economist and university professor.

Life and career

Michael Pohl studied economics at the University of Basel from 1999 to 2003 . He then worked there as a research assistant and lecturer at the chair for bank management and controlling at Henner Schierenbeck , where Pohl received his doctorate in 2007 on Liquidity Risk in Banks: Approaches to Measurement and Profit-Oriented Control . After three more years as a research assistant at the same chair, he moved to the Steinbeis University in Berlin as a junior professor for wealth management and banking in 2010 .

He is one of the authors of the Gabler business lexicon and is (jointly) responsible for four subject areas, including "payment transactions" and "international business in banks".
