Michael Radau

Michael Radau SJ (* 1617 in Braunsberg , East Prussia ; † 1687 there ) was a German theologian.

Life

Michael Radau joined the Jesuit order in 1633 . During his time he was a famous theologian throughout Europe and is said to be the author of the following works: "Oratorem extemporaneum" and "Orationes in laudem benefactorem Collegii Vilnensis". He first taught the beautiful sciences and philosophy, then 8 years of scholastic theology, was a preacher and missionary for a long time and was rector of the college in Königsberg , then at the Lyceum Hosianum in Braunsberg (1673–1675).
