Michael Rademacher

Michael Josef Rademacher (born November 17, 1952 in Vosswinkel ) is a German SPD local politician.

education and profession

After graduating from high school in 1970 and then doing community service , Rademacher studied with a degree in civil engineering specializing in transport. After various employment relationships in the public service and with construction companies in Cologne and later in the Sauerland, he started his own engineering office in his birthplace on January 1, 1993 and has been working as a freelancer since then.

Michael Rademacher is married and has three children.

Politics and volunteering

Michael Rademacher has been a member of the SPD since 1972. From 1989 to 2004 he was a member of the district assembly of the Hochsauerlandkreis and from 1994 to 2003 chairman of the SPD district assembly. From 1989 to 2004 he was a knowledgeable citizen in the Arnsberg City Council and from 1990 to 1996 he was elected honorary officer for the Arnsberg district of Voßwinkel . From 2004 to 2017 he was a member of the council of the city of Arnsberg and during this time chairman of the works committee.

From 1985 to 1990 he was chairman of the local SPD local association, from 1991 to 1994 chairman of the SPD city association Arnsberg and from 1999 to 2003 chairman of the social democratic community for local politics of the district association Hochsauerland.

Rademacher has been chairman of the Waldakademie Voßwinkel eV since 1999, with 25,000 participants annually at 750 events, and since 2011 chairman of the Vosswinkel village history working group. From 1997 to 2001 and since 2005 he has been an honorary judge at the Arnsberg Administrative Court .

Honors

In 2013, District Administrator Karl Schneider presented him with the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon for his services to the community .
