Karl Schneider (politician, 1952)
Karl Schneider (* 13. February 1952 ) is a German politician of the CDU . Since October 1st, 2005 he has been the full-time district administrator of the Hochsauerlandkreis .
Life and work
Schneider completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk. He then studied business administration at the University of Siegen. After successfully completing his degree in business administration in 1975 and with a degree in business administration in 1978, he worked as an employee at the chair for business administration at the University of Siegen until 1982 . In 1981 he received his doctorate. rer. pol with a thesis on the determinants of personnel requirements. From 1982 to 1983 he was a bank trainee in Düsseldorf; after that he worked for the Falke Group until his election to the full-time district administrator in 2005 . He has been Vice President of the Arnsberg Chamber of Commerce and Industry since March 2002 . Schneider lives in Schmallenberg .
Political career
Schneider was involved in the Junge Union , where he was a member of the district board from 1968 to 1987, deputy district chairman, district chairman and from 1978 to 1986 a member of the state board. Schneider has also been a member of the CDU since 1968. From 1987 to 2006 chairman of the CDU city association Schmallenberg, since 1989 member of the district assembly of the Hochsauerlandkreis and from 1999 to 2005 chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. Schneider has been a full-time district administrator since October 1, 2005.
Private
Schneider is married and has one grown daughter.
