Michael Ratzon ( Hebrew מיכאל רצון, Born September 21, 1952 in Petah Tikva , Israel ) is an Israeli politician .

biography

Ratzon earned a Bachelor of Laws and then a Masters in Law from Bar-Ilan University and worked as a lawyer after graduation. He married Dr. Navah Ratzon, with whom he has five children: Eshbal, Re'em, Oded, Anva and Ofri.

In 1992 he was nominated by the Likud bloc as a candidate in 35th place for the Knesset, but since it only got 32 seats, he failed to enter parliament. In 1996 he moved to the Knesset as the successor to the late Ariel Weinstein . Three months later, Ratzon lost his seat again in the 1996 elections. In the 2003 election, the party won 38 seats. Since Ratzon was number 20 on the Likud list, Ratzon also received a seat in the Knesset. Ratzon was in the 16th legislative period or 30th government from March 5, 2003 to October 28, 2004 Deputy Minister for Economy and Trade .
