Michael Ridpath

Michael Ridpath (* 1961 in Devon ) is an English bestselling author and former banker.

Life

Ridpath grew up in Yorkshire and lives with his family in London . After graduating from Oxford, he worked as a trader for a major international bank when he wrote his first story at the age of 29. In 1995 he landed his first bestseller with his book The Speculator . With Curse he started a series with the criminal investigator Magnus Jonson, who comes back from Boston to his native Iceland .
