Michael Schweizer (cyclist, 1983)
Michael Schweizer (born December 16, 1983 in Aachen ) is a former German track and road cyclist .
Athletic career
Michael Schweizer started his career in 2003 with the German cycling team Vermarc Sportswear and rode for various international teams until the end of his sporting career. In 2008 he and his brother Christoph Schweizer won the UIV Cup in Stuttgart on the track . His greatest international successes on the road included stage wins at the UCI races Five Rings of Moscow 2012 and Course de la Solidarité Olympique 2013.
Michael Schweizer, a civil servant by profession and on leave until the end of 2015, then ended his sporting career at the end of 2015 in order to start working for the Aachen City Region in January 2016 . In his last race in international cycling, he won the penultimate stage of the Tour of Al Zubarah in the sprint .
