Michael Stang

Michael Stang (* 1978 ) is a German science journalist, known from the daily radio program Wissenschaft aktuell on Deutschlandfunk.

Life

Stang studied anthropology, ethnology, palaeontology and geology in Mainz. After completing his master's degree, he worked in various editorial departments of print media and radio stations as part of a scholarship from the Bertelsmann Foundation for Science Journalism. Since 2005 he has worked as a freelance science journalist in Cologne for the radio stations DLF, WDR, BR, SWR, ORF and SRF as well as for print media such as the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung .

In 2016 he was “Journalist in Residence” at the Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (HITS). According to his own information, he is a member of the Journalists Network , the Science Press Conference (WPK), freelance writer , ver.di and host writer.
