Michael Steinmetz

Michael Steinmetz (* 1983 ) is a German linguist and didactic specialist with a focus on the theory of literary understanding, text skills, educational standards, empirical task research and material-based writing.

Life

After graduating from high school in Berlin in 2002 and doing civilian service in Berlin in 2002 ( people's solidarity ), he studied German and philosophy from 2003 to 2008 for teaching at high schools at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena (2008 first state examination for teaching at high schools in German and Philosophyean). From 2008 to 2009 he completed his legal clerkship in Thuringia (interruption from 2009 for the doctorate). From 2009 to 2012 he was a research assistant at the Chair of German Didactics at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. From 2012 to 2013 legal clerkship in Thuringia (2013 second state examination for teaching at grammar schools). After completing his doctorate in 2013 at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, he was a research assistant at the Department of Didactics of German at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena from 2013 to 2014. From 2014 to 2019 he was a research assistant at the Professorship for German Literature Didactics at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen . After his habilitation in 2019 in Gießen in the field of German literature didactics, he represented the professor for German language and literature and its didactics with a focus on literature didactics in Weingarten in 2019 . Since 2020 he has been professor of German language and literature and their didactics with a focus on literary didactics at the PH Weingarten .
