Michael Weiers

Michael Weiers (born December 26, 1937 in Bernried am Starnberger See ) is a German orientalist , philologist and historian . Weiers taught from 1972 until his retirement in 2003 as a professor at the University of Bonn Linguistics and Cultural Studies of Central Asia and is honorary professor at the University of Inner Mongolia in Hohhot . Weiers published numerous essays and books on the history of the Mongols and Manchurians, and here especially on source philology.
