Mikhail Nikolajewitsch Bujanowski

Mikhail Nikolajewitsch Bujanowski ( Russian Михаил Николаевич Буяновский ; born October 4, 1891 in Saint Petersburg , † 1966 ) was a Russian horn player and music professor, the father of Vitaly Bujanowski .

Michail Bujanowski was born into a family of musicians. Bujanowski's father was a flautist. Mikhail studied at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory . He was a student of Jean Taam. After his training, Bujanowski was principal horn in the orchestra of the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater from 1913.

He was also a professor of horn at the Leningrad Conservatory. Many well-known Russian horn players were students of Mikhail Bujanowski, including his son Vitaly Bujanowski. He is also the author of a number of arrangements for the French horn.
