Michel Aglietta

Michel Aglietta (born February 18, 1938 in Chambéry , Savoie department ) is a French professor of economics at the University of Paris-Nanterre . Aglietta is a member of the Institut universitaire de France and advises the state Center D'Études Prospectives et D'Informations Internationales (CEPII) and the insurance company Groupama . From 1998 to 2006 he was a member of the Cercle des économistes and from 1997 to 2003 in the Council for Economic Analysis of the Prime Minister.

Aglietta is a recognized expert on international financial markets . His book Régulation et crises du capitalisme. L'expériences des Etats-Unis (1976) founded the economic school of regulation theory .
