Michel Davier
Michel Davier (born March 6, 1942 ) is a French experimental physicist .
Davier studied at the ENS in Lyon . From 1975 until his retirement in 2010 he was a professor at the University of Paris-Süd (Univ. Paris XI) in Orsay . From 1985 to 1994 he was director of the linear accelerator LAL.
In 1994 Davier received the Gentner-Kastler-Prize . In 1996 he became a member of the Académie des Sciences , of which he had been a corresponding member since 1994. In 2011 he was awarded the Prix André Lagarrigue of the French Physical Society and in 2017 he was admitted to the Legion of Honor with the degree of Chevalier .
