Michel Davier

Michel Davier (born March 6, 1942 ) is a French experimental physicist .

Davier studied at the ENS in Lyon . From 1975 until his retirement in 2010 he was a professor at the University of Paris-Süd (Univ. Paris XI) in Orsay . From 1985 to 1994 he was director of the linear accelerator LAL.

In 1994 Davier received the Gentner-Kastler-Prize . In 1996 he became a member of the Académie des Sciences , of which he had been a corresponding member since 1994. In 2011 he was awarded the Prix ​​André Lagarrigue of the French Physical Society and in 2017 he was admitted to the Legion of Honor with the degree of Chevalier .
