Michel Lustier (born November 25, 1946 in Ennery ) is a French politician . He has been a member of the National Assembly since 1997 .

Lustier grew up in a hamlet in the municipality of Augères in the Creuse department . The son of a blacksmith was a supporter of the political left in his youth and as a result joined the Parti socialiste . Professionally he was active as a teacher. Lustier, supported by Senator André Lejeune , ran in the 1997 parliamentary elections in the first constituency of the Creuse department and was elected to the National Assembly. In 1998 he was also elected mayor of Guéret . In 2002, 2007 and 2012 he was re-elected as a Member of Parliament.
