Michele Orecchia
Michele Orecchia (born December 26, 1903 in Marseille , † December 11, 1981 in Moncalieri ) was an Italian cyclist .
1927 occupied Michele Orecchia at the road World Championship of Amateur on the Nürburgring third. The following year he started at the Olympic Games in Amsterdam , was 16th in the individual road race and fourth in the team classification with the Italian team.
Then Orecchia went over to the professionals . Until he ended his cycling career in 1934, he started in almost all classics and larger tours in Europe. He drove the Giro d'Italia six times and achieved his best result with ninth place in 1929 . He drove the Tour de France three times ; In 1932 he won the eighth stage, which ended in his native Marseille, and finished 14th in the overall standings. He started five times at Milan – Sanremo and finished eighth in 1929 and ninth in the 1928 Tour of Lombardy .
