Michele Zuccaro

Michele Zuccaro (born July 18, 1948 in Pomarico ) is an Italian painter and sculptor .

life and work

On the occasion of his last major exhibition entitled L'esperienza del silenzio in Palazzo Crispi (June 12 to August 4, 2006), Naples, biographical notes and an appreciation of Zuccaro's work to date were published. In his foreword to the exhibition, the art critic Giuseppe Antonello Leone shows how Zuccaro influenced the landscape, life, culture and history of the Basilicata and developed his work with a penchant for existentialism and expressionism, while stopping at various locations in Europe. An extract from this text was included in the press release, which is available online in Italian.
