Michelle Harrison (writer)

Michelle Harrison (* 1979 in Grays ) is a British writer . She writes fantasy novels for children and young people.

Life

Michelle Harrison was born in 1979 in the city of Grays, Essex, UK. After graduating from school, 19-year-old Michelle Harrison moved to Stafford, where she studied illustration. After graduating from college, Michelle Harrison worked as a barmaid, children's book seller and in an art gallery before finding a publisher and becoming a full-time author. With her debut novel Thirteen Treasures ( Elfenseele - Behind the Moment ) she won the Waterstone's Children's Book Prize in 2009 . Two sequels followed.

Today she lives in Oxfordshire .
