Michelle McGann
Michelle McGann (born December 30, 1969 in West Palm Beach , Florida ) is an American professional golfer within the so-called LPGA Tour .
Life
At the age of 13, Michelle McGann was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes ; At this point she was already three-time Florida state youth champion. In 1987 she won the US Girls' Junior ; the American Junior Golf Association named her Junipr Player of the Year; the Golf Magazine and Golf Digest they listed on among the top players of the amateur area. In 1988 she won the Doherty Cup Championship and played in the US Women's Open and the Boston Five Classic .
When she joined the LPGA Tour in 1989, she switched to the professional field and took part in the US team at the Solheim Cup in 1996 . In 1995 and 1996 she was among the top ten prize money winners.
She supports and donates to the Diabetes Research Institute ; she herself wears an insulin pump . She has been married to businessman Jonathan Satter since 2010 .
