Michelle Waterson (born January 6, 1986 in Colorado Springs ) is an American model , MMA fighter and former winner of the "Invicta FC Atomweight Championship".
Life
Born in Colorado Springs and raised in Aurora , Michelle Waterson has Thai roots and an Asian appearance. After graduating from high school in Aurora, she began her modeling career in 2004. She later entered the University of Denver , but dropped out of college to start her mixed martial arts career. Waterson made her MMA debut on February 16, 2007. It was announced on April 28, 2015 that she had signed a contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship . According to Fight Matrix , Waterson is one of the best straw weight fighters in the world and was ranked 1st between 2013 and 2014. She is currently ranked 7th in the UFC straw weight rankings.
