Michiel Sweerts
Michiel (or Michael) Sweerts ( baptized September 29, 1618 in Brussels , † June 1, 1664 in Goa ) was a Flemish painter and etcher .
Sweerts lived in Rome from around 1645 to 1656 and painted in the style of the Bambocciade , that is, he chose his motifs from everyday life.
Today Michiel Sweerts is best known for his painting Boy with a Turban , which is owned by the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza ( Madrid ) and was previously attributed to Francesco De Rosa .
