Michigan approach

The Michigan approach or the Michigan concept is adjacent to the Harvard approach one of the important concepts in the area H uman R esource M anagement ( HR ). It bears the name of the University of Michigan , where it originated in 1982. The main idea is to use an HRM cycle to link the three fields of the company's organizational structure , corporate strategy and personnel management in such a way that efficient personnel requirements planning and personnel management are possible.

The HRM cycle consists of: personnel selection , performance evaluation , reward and incentive system as well as dynamic personnel development.
