Michio Hashimoto ( Japanese 橋本 三千 雄 , Hashimoto Michio ; born April 4, 1977 in Hachinohe , Aomori Prefecture ) is a Japanese ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with the Tohoku Free Blades in the Asia League Ice Hockey since 2009 .

Career

Michio Hashimoto began his career as a hockey player with the Snow Brand Sapporo , for which he was active in the Japan Ice Hockey League from 1996 to 1999 . Then the goalkeeper stood in the 2001/02 season for the city neighbor Sapporo Polaris between the posts. From 2003 to 2009 he played for the Nikkō Ice Bucks in the multinational Asia League ice hockey , before he received a contract with the league newcomer Tohoku Free Blades for the 2009/10 season . In these, the Japanese stood as a regular goalkeeper in 36 games and had a catch rate of 89.6% with a goalscoring average of 3.71. In the 2010/11 season, which ended prematurely due to the Tōhoku earthquake , he and his team won the championship title of the Asia League Ice Hockey for the first time.
