Mickey 3D is a rock band from France that first appeared in 1996. The group is best known for their critical lyrics, rock music and unusual sound elements.
founding
The founding of the band goes back to the singer Mickaël Furnon (called "Mickey"), who played guitar in the English-speaking group 3DK (founded in 1988) in 1996. At that time he started a solo project called "Mickey 3D" and recorded two tapes, but they were quite unsuccessful. It was only after Aurélien Joanin (called Jojo ") joined them and a third band was recorded together that the band from Écotay-l'Olme (near Saint-Étienne) achieved local fame (mainly through the radio station Radio Dio) and finally released their first album : Mistigri Torture .
Inspired by artists like Christophe Miossec , Mickey 3D have made a name for themselves ever since. Their biggest hit to date, Respire , also reached the top 10 in Switzerland in 2004.
In 2015 Mickey 3D released the single, "La rose blanche", an excerpt from their album "Sebolavy", which was released in April 2016. The song wants to honor the resistance group White Rose , an association of Munich Christian students against the Nazi barbarism, which was founded in 1942 by Sophie Scholl and her brother Hans and her friend Alexander Schmorell.
