Micky Corucle

Mihai "Micky" Corucle (born January 5, 1962 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian-German athletics trainer who specializes in sprinting.

Coaching career

With Tobias Unger , one of his first athletes, he had the greatest success so far. Unger began training at Corucle in the early 1990s. In 2004 his protégé was Olympic seventh, German champion over 200 meters and won bronze over 200 meters at the World Indoor Championships . In 2005 he had his greatest success so far, breaking the German record together with Unger. Also came Marius Broening in the training group. In 2011 Corucle brought Alex Schaf to him and continues to train him successfully to this day. Corucle has collected countless German championship titles over the years.

In early 2015 Corucle became Alina Rotaru's trainer . In 2019 she reached the 6th place at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha with 6.71 m.
