Micridium is a genus of beetles from the family of dwarf beetles (Ptiliidae) within the subfamily Ptiliinae . It occurs in Europe with three kinds, of which only Micridium halidaii is native to Central Europe.

features

The beetles have a shiny, light body color, their upper side is finely structured in dots and not shagreen in between, but smooth. The yellowish wings are ovate and have two dark vertical stripes. The genus differs from the closely related genera by abutting hips ( coxes ) on the forelegs and by the episterns of the metathorax, which are not covered by the wings .
