Microsoft Plus! was a collection of programs published by Microsoft to extend Microsoft Windows .

There were several entertainment packs before the Plus! Packages. These have been replaced by Plus! Packs.

Microsoft Plus 95

With the first version from 1995 Microsoft supplied new or missing system, drive and network utilities for Windows 95, and especially Internet Explorer. These applications were then largely contained in the next Windows ( Microsoft Windows 98 ).

Microsoft Plus! for kids!

Microsoft Plus! for Kids was released in 1997.

Microsoft Plus 98

The following version Plus! 98 contained other tools, such as the support of compressed folders , an anti-virus program from McAfee and several games.

Microsoft Plus! Game Pack: Cards & Puzzles

Released specifically for Windows ME, but was also compatible with 95/98.

Microsoft Plus XP

The following version was only released in 2002, at the start of Microsoft Windows XP , with the nickname "Super Pack".

In plus! Super Pack provides additional functions and visually redesigned interfaces for the operating system , especially for the multimedia software Windows Media Player , as well as screen savers and games. Plus! Digital Media Edition is primarily aimed at the users of Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition and offers extensions for the digital lifestyle , e.g. B. a program for transferring music to PDAs and smartphones or an assistant for copying LPs to the hard drive.

The current version of Plus !, the “Digital Media Edition” from 2004 also supports Windows XP Media Center Edition and is sold in addition to the “Super Pack”.

So there were three Plus Packs for XP: Microsoft Plus! for Windows XP, Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition and Microsoft Plus! SuperPack for Windows XP.

In Windows Vista Ultimate there were the Ultimate Extras. There was also an Ultimate version of Windows 7, but without Ultimate Extras.
