Midamos

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Midamos ( ancient Greek Μίδαμος Mídamos ) is one of the 50 sons of Aigyptus , the twin brother of Danaos , in Greek mythology , and is therefore one of the Aegyptiads .

According to the poorly preserved, incomplete list of 47 of 50 Danaid matings in the fabulae of Hyginus Mythographus , he was killed by his wife Amymone on their wedding night . In the library of Apollodorus , Amymone is married to grandchildren . The name Midamos ( Midamus in the handwriting) is corrupt.
