The Middle Ground Rock ( English for Mittlerer Grundfelsen ) is a reef rock washed over by the sea off the north coast of South Georgia . It is located 2.5 km east of Framnaes Point in the middle of the entrance to Stromness Bay .
The name of this rock was first recorded on a map of the British Admiralty from 1952.
