The rental villa Ledenweg 13 , which the master builder and master mason August Große built on his own plot in 1890, is located in the Niederlößnitz district of the Saxon city of Radebeul , in what was then Schulstrasse 1.

description

The two-storey rental villa , which is now a listed building , is located on a corner property on Heinrich-Zille-Straße , formerly the border road between Niederlößnitz and Kötzschenbroda .

The building stands on a base made of red granite, the flat, flattened and protruding hipped roof is slated again today. The weather vane on the tower from the original drawing from 1890/91 was only added in 2009. The plastered structure, which has only been changed slightly, has a brick-visible band structure on the tower. The formerly ornamented blind sheets in the windows are no longer preserved.

history

In 1830 the master bricklayer Gottfried Große sold the property to the winemaker Carl August Hasse, who owned it until 1886. He sold part of the property in 1876 to the manual worker Carl Gottlieb Günter, who built a house for migrants in 1876.

In 1886 the master mason August Große became the owner of the rest of the property. In 1890 he applied for a new house to be built, which was completed in November 1891. A first renovation was requested in 1892 on the original drawing by August Große with the installation of a laundry room and the addition of an open veranda to the house.

Anna Johanna Pauline Julie, Patzcker born. Liedtke (aunt of the actor Harry Liedtke ) bought the property in 1915 in what was then Schulstrasse 1. With the merger of Kötzschenbroda and Niederlößnitz, this became Ledenweg 13.

A. Patzcker rented the first floor for many years to the high school supervisor Dr. Bertold Hartmann, who was probably teaching in the elementary school on the street. She bequeathed the property to Curt Höhne in 1938, who ran the Curt Höhne Radiomechanik company in the house until the late 1960s. His widow ran the radio repair company until around 1975.
