Miguel Ángel Juarez

Miguel Ángel Juárez (born February 2, 1955 in Rosario ) is a former Argentine football player .

The midfielder played for Rosario Central and Platense . In 1981 he moved to Ferro Carril Oeste and scored 20 goals that year and was runner-up with the club. The next year was even more successful. Juarez won the Argentine championship with Ferro Carril Oeste without a single defeat, scoring 1-0 in the final against Quilmes (final score 2-0), and he was also top scorer with 22 goals. At the Copa Libertadores 1983 , the club was eliminated in the group stage. In September 1984 Juárez, who was now under contract with Talleres , tested positive for ephedrine during a doping control and was banned for 30 days.
