Miguel Ángel Martín (born May 2, 1962 in Madrid ) is a Spanish professional golfer .
Career
The former caddy started his career as a professional golfer in 1981 . Martin has been a member of the European Tour for more than twenty seasons and in 2005 became the first continental European golfer to make 500 starts in this major tournament series. His best ranking in the European Tour Order of Merit is a 17th place. Martin has so far recorded three tournament victories and was a member of the victorious Spanish team in the Dunhill Cup in 2000.
He was qualified for the 1997 Ryder Cup , but was unable to participate due to a wrist injury.
He has been playing on the European Seniors Tour since 2012 .
Miguel Angel Martin has been married to his wife Mercedes since 1990. The two have two children and live in Madrid .
