Miguel Berchelt (* 17th November 1991 in Cancun , Mexico as Miguel Ángel Berchelt Cervera ) is a Mexican boxer in the super featherweight and current world champion of the Association WBC .

Professional career

In November 2010, Berchelt, who boxed in the normal display, successfully made his professional debut in a four-round fight against Armin Chan with a victory through a technical knockout in the second round.

On September 7, 2012, he faced Berman Sanchez (26-4) for the vacant intercontinental WBC youth title and won by TKo in the second round. He defended the title in November 2012 with a knockout against Oliver Flores (23-0). In March 2014 he suffered his first defeat against Luis Eduardo Florez (15-1).

At the end of January 2017, the 1.70 m tall Berchelt met his compatriot Francisco Vargas (23-0). This fight was about the world championship belt of the WBC. Berchelt won this fight in the eleventh round by technical knockout and thus became WBC world champion.
