Miguel Gutiérrez Gutiérrez (born May 7, 1931 in Mexico City , † February 1, 2016 in León , Guanajuato ), also known by the nickname El Mulo (the mule ), was a Mexican football player who played in defense and at the club León was under contract.

biography

El Mulo Gutiérrez came to Club León in 1952, where he worked for 16 years until the end of his playing career and with which he won several titles.

Between 1957 and 1959 Gutiérrez was eight times for the Mexican national football team. He made his debut on April 7, 1957 in a World Cup qualifier against the USA, which was won 6-0. At the following World Cup in 1958 , he was used in the group matches against Wales (1: 1) and Hungary (0: 4). Gutiérrez played his last international match on March 8, 1959 in a friendly against Costa Rica, which was won 2-1.
