Mihály Zoltán Orosz (born July 7, 1969 in Újfehértó ) is a Hungarian local politician. He is currently a city councilor in Nagykálló and was the independent mayor of Érpatak from 2005 to 2017 . Orosz is a former elementary school teacher.

The mayor, who was elected in 2005, achieved notoriety above all for his conservative and right-wing radical policies. He is close to the Jobbik party and has made several appearances at its events. Orosz has issued cleanliness regulations that are mostly checked among the Roma living in the village . In the event of non-compliance, social benefits can be reduced. In 2014, the mayor had to face an investigation because he staged a hanging of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Shimon Peres with puppets. The Hungarian media, both loyal to the government and left-wing opposition members, welcomed the authorities' action. In 2015 the documentary The Érpatak Model was released in which Orosz was accompanied with the camera during his activities.
