Érpatak is a Hungarian village in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County in the northern lowlands of eastern Hungary.

The village gained fame above all through its former mayor Mihály Zoltán Orosz , who was best known for his right-wing extremist politics. His policies had major consequences, especially for residents who were dependent on social assistance. The welfare recipients had to do community service. In the event of an objection, Orosz could cancel social assistance for up to 3 years.
