Mijntje Lückerath-Rovers (born December 14, 1968 in Eindhoven ) is a Dutch economist and university professor .

Career, research and teaching

Lückerath-Rovers studied finance at the Erasmus University Rotterdam . After completing her studies in 1994, she worked at Rabobank until 2001 before returning to academic operations in 2001. While on the one hand she lectured on financial markets and finance law at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, on the other hand she did her doctorate at the university until 2007 on operational leasing transactions . Then she also focused on other topics, such as the newly introduced regulations on corporate governance . In 2010 she moved to the Nyenrode University of Economics and Business , and in 2013 she accepted an appointment as professor at Tilburg University .

The main focus of Lückerath-Rovers' work lies in the area of ​​corporate governance with a focus on the role and composition of management boards and supervisory boards, especially with regard to the participation of women. She is the author of the Nederlandse Female Board Index , which has been published annually since 2007 and which examines the proportion of women on boards of directors and supervisory boards of Dutch companies and related topics. She is also the editor of Jaarboek Corporate Governance .

In 2014, Lückerath-Rovers chaired the Rijkscultuurfonds committee . She also holds positions on the supervisory board of various organizations.
