Mikaela María Antonia de los Reyes Cojuangco-Jaworski (born February 26, 1974 ) is a Filipino actress, presenter and show jumper.

Life

Mikaela Cojuangco-Jaworksi grew up as the third of five daughters of the politician José Cojuangco in the province of Tarlac . She is a niece of former President Corazon Aquino , as well as a cousin of actress Kris Aquino and former President Benigno Aquino III.

Mikaela studied at the Ateneo de Manila University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. She is with the politician Robert Jaworski Jr. married, with whom she has three sons.

Mikaela Cojuangco-Jaworski started riding at the age of 10. At the age of 16 she first took part in an international tournament in Shizuoka , Japan . At the Asian Games in Busan ( South Korea ) in 2002 , she won the gold medal in the individual competition in show jumping. She also won silver with the team. At the Southeast Asian Games in Manila in 2005 , she won gold with the team.

Although she did not participate actively, she was elected the flag bearer of the Philippine team for the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou .

Mikaela Cojuangco-Jaworski has been an actress since 1994. She has appeared in several Filipino comedies, musicals, and action films. She also makes regular appearances on television shows and works as a model.

IOC membership

In 2013 Mikaela Cojuangco-Jaworski was elected an IOC member . She is a member of the Commissions for Communication, Olympic Education and the Olympic Channel , the IOC's TV broadcaster.
