Mike Connors ( Michael O'Connor ; * 1892 in New York City , † January 16, 1949 in Sydney ) was an Australian actor and theater director of American origin.

Connors came to Australia in 1916 with a vaudeville troupe from Ben Fullers with his stage partner Freddie Witt . He briefly appeared at Jack Asprey's Cremorne Theater in Brisbane with actress Queenie Paul , whom he married in 1917. Then they returned to Fullers, for whom they worked until 1930.

During the economic depression of 1930, both lost their jobs at Fullers. They rented the Haymarket Theater in Sydney and successfully opened it in 1931 with the revue Brighter Days . Her main characters included Hector St Clair , Roy Rene and Jim Gérald . A short time later they took over in Melbourne, Tivoli and founded with its operator George Dickenson the Connors and Paul Theaters Pty Ltd, . In Sydney they took over the Grand Opera House from George Marlow , which they renovated and reopened in 1932 with a show with Roy Rene and Syd Beck .

After the death of a daughter, they transferred the theater company George Dickenson and Frank Neil . For the next few years they worked with Roy Rene. In 1935 they undertook a New Zealand tour with a revue with George Leonard Wallace , a second tour with Syd Beck failed because of his alcohol consumption.

In 1938 Connors went to ABC , where he presented the program Hospital Half Hour , appeared as a comedian in Out of the Bag and hosted. In 1944 he returned to the theater and worked with Rene at Tivoli . From the end of 1946 he and his wife presented a revue with Harry Wren in Cremonrne in Brisbane.
