Mike Markkula

Armas Clifford "Mike" Markkula (born February 11, 1942 in Los Angeles ) is an American entrepreneur and was CEO of Apple from 1981 to 1983 .

Markkula's ancestors are from Finland and immigrated to the United States in the 19th century.

Markkula studied electrical engineering at the University of Southern California . He was a business angel and Apple's first investor.
