Michael James "Mike" Williamson (born November 8, 1983 in Stoke-on-Trent ) is an English football player who is under contract with Newcastle United . He is currently awarded to Wolverhampton Wanderers .

Career

Williamson began his career at Torquay United and moved to Southampton FC in November 2001 . After he did not play in the first team, he was awarded to his youth club. When this loan deal was over, he switched to the Doncaster Rovers on loan . His third loan deal brought him to the Wycombe Wanderers , where he stayed for four years after performing well.

On January 26, 2009, he moved to Watford FC for an undisclosed fee . On September 1, 2009, he signed a contract with Portsmouth FC .

He has been playing for Newcastle United since January 2010 . On December 4 of the same year, the defender signed a contract with the Magpies until 2016. On December 29, 2013 Williamson completed his 100th Premier League game for Newcastle United.
