Mikrokosmos was a magazine published from 1907 by the German Micrological Society and its founder Raoul Heinrich Francé with a focus on microscopy . Originally published in what was then Franckh'schen Verlagshandlung , Stuttgart, it was last published by Elsevier Verlag and was discontinued at the end of 2014. Mikrokosmos reported on all aspects of applied microscopy in education, work and hobby. The journal was not peer-reviewed .
