Milan Đukić

Milan Đukić (born April 10, 1947 in Donji Lapac ; † October 8, 2007 ibid) was a Croatian politician and since 1991 the chairman of the Serbian People's Party .

Life

After studying economics, Đukić worked in the financial administration of his home town and in tourism management for the Plitvice Lakes National Park .

From 1992 he was a member of the Croatian parliament until his party was unable to enter parliament in 2003. Đukić was initially considered to be close to the Tuđman government, but since the mid-1990s he increasingly distanced himself from Tuđman. From 1992 to 1996 Đukić was parliamentary speaker.

Đukić was married and had two children. He died in October 2007 at the age of 60.
